↪️ Changing the position of an article

Control the order articles appear in by dragging their pages inside the sub collection in Notion.

Last updated on July 9, 2026

Article order on your site mirrors page order in Notion. To move an article up or down, open its sub collection page, grab the article by the drag handle, and drop it where it should go. The article list on your published site — and the sidebar in the Documentation layout — follows the same top-to-bottom order.

🤔 Troubleshoot: My articles are not in order!

If the live site doesn't match what you see in Notion, run through these checks:

  • Reorder on the page, not in the sidebar. Emovart follows the order of the sub page blocks on the parent page itself. Notion's left sidebar can show pages in a different order, so always drag them within the page body.
  • Watch out for stray links. A "link to page" block looks almost identical to a real sub page, but only actual pages count. Remove leftover link blocks and duplicates.
  • Sync again. Position changes only reach the site after a sync — if you reordered a minute ago, the site may simply not know yet.
After any reshuffle, press Resync in Settings → Help Centers to push the new order live right away — or let the next automatic sync take care of it.
