Article emojis work exactly like Notion page icons — because that's what they are. Open the article page in Notion, hover over the title, click Add icon, and pick an emoji. After the next sync it appears in front of the article's title everywhere on your site: in collection lists, in the Documentation layout's sidebar, in search results, and on the article page itself.
Changing it later is just as quick: click the existing icon in Notion and choose a new one. Remove it the same way — articles without an icon simply render as plain titles.

💡
Pick emojis as a set, not one at a time. A consistent visual language — say 🆕 for what's new, ⚙️ for setup, 🧯 for troubleshooting — makes a long article list dramatically easier to scan.
