If visitors see a "paused" notice on your help center — or you've received an email from us about a failed payment — your subscription renewal didn't go through. The good news: your content is completely safe, and the fix is quick.
Why was my knowledge base paused?
Your most recent renewal charge failed. We never pause a site on the first hiccup: Stripe retries the payment several times over a grace period of a few days, and we email you after each attempt. Only when every retry fails is the site paused.
Nothing is deleted at any point. Your articles live in your Notion workspace, and your settings, branding, and domain configuration are all kept exactly as they were.
How do I reactivate my knowledge base?
- Log in at
emovart.studioand open Settings → Billing, then click Manage billing to enter the Stripe billing portal. - Under Payment methods, add a valid card and set it as the default — the steps are detailed in How to update my current payment method?.
- Pay the open invoice from the portal, or simply wait for the automatic retry to pick up the new card.
As soon as the charge succeeds, your knowledge base comes back online — usually within a few minutes, with no other action needed.
Common reasons for failed payments
- The card on file has expired
- Insufficient funds or a card spending limit was reached
- Your bank blocked the charge as an online or cross-border payment (a quick call to the bank, or confirming the 3-D Secure prompt, usually solves it)
- The card was cancelled or replaced after being lost
